So Many Posts in One Day

Look at me, posting so much in one day.  I told you all I'd post more once I was a part time stay at home mom.  Plus, today I had my three hour glucose test to check for gestational diabetes and as a prize for myself for making it through that shenanigans, I'm planning on doing nothing of use this afternoon.  Huzzah!!

Let's start with a video why don't we.  Meet Kallie, full name Khaleesi, our adorable but spastic German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Chow puppy.
She's doing great so far blending into our family.  She's still learning and still spends some of her day in her puppy playpen; but, overall she's learning to be a nice member of the family.

Kallie joins 2 other dogs, 3 hens, 3 chicks, and 5 fish in our crazy house.  Meet them after the jump.

Meet Maizey!  She's a ten year old German Shepherd mix we were told would be only 35 pounds.  What a silly joke.  She's the most amazing and loyal dog.  She is also the regulator of the other two.

Next up is Roxy.  She looks like a pitt, but per the genetic testing she is rottweiler, mixed with great dane, shih-tzu and boston terrier.  Random I know.  We adopted her at 8 months and she's never been quite right.  She's a sweet dog, but definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.  Roxy really likes the sun and is very, very fascinated by the chickens.

The video is a good introduction to Kallie, so now it's time for the chickens.  They live in the fabulous coop at the top that my hubby built.  In order of the pictures we have Ginny, Luna, & Hermione.  Do you notice a theme there?  Perhaps corresponding to their colors?  Anywho, they have been amazing hens and Luna just ended a 35 day straight egg streak.  She took a day off yesterday and was back at it today.

Then we have the baby chicks.  We decided 3 wasn't enough and got three more this weekend at the chick days at the feed store.  Think 2500 chicks to choose from in one room.  Yup!  We were originally going to get 2, but got 3 in case one is a male (we'd get rid of a rooster) and that way we wouldn't have one little one joining the big girls.  The one on the top left is Narcissa (she'll be black and white striped as an adult), the one in the front is Tonks (she should lay colored eggs as adult), and the one at the top right is Bellatrix (she'll be black).  Keep your fingers crossed that they are all girls for us!
Finally, we have 5 pretty guppies.  They are the babies of some fancy guppies who made friends with some regular guppies.  I think they look pretty cool; but, I think we need to get them a pretty Betta to keep them company.  They don't have names because they look the same...
So that's our menagerie.  Poor Hubby is horribly outnumbered and will be even more outnumbered when the human baby comes.  We love our crazy animal family though!
