Delicious Chocolate Brownies

Tonight, I made some delicious chocolate brownies that I stumbled upon last night on another person's blog.  Although she posted the recipe, it's based of an old Nestle recipe.  (I'll post a link to her blog at the bottom of this page :)

Ingredients:
* 1 & 1/2 cups of flour
* 1.2 tsp of baking soda
* 1/2 tsp of salt
* 2/3 cups of butter
* 1 & 1/2 cups of sugar
* 4 tbsp water
* Two 12 oz. packages of semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
* 4 eggs
* 1 cup chopped nuts (if you want, I totally chose not to)

1) Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

2) Mix in a bowl the flour, baking soda, and salt.  Then set it to the side.

3) In a large saucepan melt the butter, sugar, and water.  Remove from heat when it begins to boil.

4) Add one package of chocolate chips and the vanilla and mix it all together until smooth.
*This picture is pre-smoothed out

5) Beat in each egg one at a time.  Mix very well in between each.

6) Slowly add in the flour.  I would add a little bit and mix thoroughly before adding the next bit.

7) Add in your second batch of chocolate chips. It may seem like a lot, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

8) Place in the oven.  Now the original recipe called for 30-40 minutes, the girl who posted it called for 30-35.   I ended up having to do mine for 45 minutes before they were done!  So you'll need to check periodically based on your oven.  Because it's cooked at such low temperatures it's highly unlikely it will burn and trust me, it's well worth it.

Finished product: Delicious brownies that the hubby who heartedly adores.  We ended up cutting them an hour early (you normally want to let it cool for two hours) just because he wanted them early
